Commencement 2026

Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10 AM | Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum 

The big day is almost here! Please make sure to thoroughly read the information below to best prepare for the Commencement ceremony. 🎓

Student Arrival Information:

• Students should arrive at 8:30 a.m. and enter through the Grant Thornton VIP Entrance at the Nassau Coliseum, across from the Marriott.
• You must have your Student Ticket from Ticketmaster ready to be scanned at the gate, along with your branded gown, your cap and your tassel.
• Please remember to eat breakfast and stay hydrated on the morning of commencement!

Guest Information:

• Guest doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Guests will enter through the Geico Main Entrance, across from the Marriott.
• Students should use this link External link and sign in with their Farmingdale email to access and transfer guest tickets as soon as possible to ensure each guest can access their ticket.
• Tickets can only be transferred once and should be shown on a mobile device.
• Guests are welcome to sit anywhere in the Coliseum, as there is no assigned seating.
• If you haven’t already done so, please review the attached Commencement Guide for important Nassau Coliseum policies and event details.
• Nassau Coliseum strictly enforces a no-bag policy. While purses, backpacks, and other large bags are prohibited, guests may bring small clutch-style bags no larger than 4.5" x 6".

Regalia Pickup Reminder:

• If you still need to pick up your regalia, please note the bookstore’s limited hours this week due to finals:
  • Wednesday, 5/20: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, 5/21: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (last day to pick up or purchase regalia)
  • Friday, 5/22: CLOSED
    *If you are unable to pick up between these times, please send a family or friend to pick it up or purchase it on your behalf - they will need to know your height.

Tassel Reader Cards:

• If you were unable to pick up your Tassel Reader Card or if you misplaced your copy, cards will be available at the Nassau Coliseum. Simply let the team in the exhibition hall know you need to pick up your card or need a replacement.

Ceremony Timing:

• The ceremony starts at 10 a.m. and is expected to run approximately three hours. All students are required to stay for the duration of the ceremony as your degree is only conferred by the President after all students have crossed the stage.
