Lunar New Year 2026 with AAPI Affinity Group
Celebrate Lunar New Year with AAPI!
The 2026 Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, will occur on February 17th, 2026.
Celebrate with the FSC AAPI Affinity Group on Thursday, February 19th at 11:00 AM during club hours in Campus Center Ballroom B/C.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend! Faculty, Staff, Students, AAPI community, and allies.
Join the FSC AAPI community and allies for a meaningful celebration of the Lunar New Year: a time of renewal, reflection, and cultural tradition observed across many Asian communities. Attendees will learn about the origins of the holiday, its traditions, and how it is celebrated across different cultures and regions.
This event will feature special guests from John F. Kennedy High School’s Asian Pacific Student Association (APSA), who will join us in honoring the history and cultural significance of the Lunar New Year.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided for attendees to enjoy during the event.
Following the presentation, guests are encouraged to stay, connect, and mix and mingle in the spirit of community and shared learning.
This event is supported by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the FSC AAPI Affinity Group, and the Student Government Association (SGA). All are welcome.
