John S. Nader, President and Dr. Kevin Jordan, Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer, are pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Miranda to the position of Executive Director of the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (LIEOC) at Farmingdale State College. Miranda has worked in the LIEOC for over 25 years, most recently as Interim Executive Director of the LIEOC starting in 2020.

“With the changing landscape of academic and workforce development, Charles has proven himself to be a leader in developing and maintaining quality educational workforce training programs and services to support the social and well-being of under-served New York State residents.” says Dr. Kevin Jordan.

“I am excited to be working with local communities and adult learners to provide enhanced employment and access to further education opportunities at the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center and Farmingdale State College,” says Charles Miranda.

Miranda received a BS degree from Oswego State College and a master’s in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University. He resides in Shirley, NY with his wife.
