Join the visual communications department at Farmingdale State College for Senior Project Expo Day, a celebration of products, campaigns and services developed by the department's graduating students. View commercially viable and culturally significant projects that have been realized through graphic, web, product and motion design, by 37 Art & Graphic Design students.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 14, from noon – 6 p.m. in Campus Center Ballrooms A and B.
Examples of projects you will see on display include:
Janet Rojsirilawan - One Curled Tail is a
pop-up book for children ages 2-5, that helps them learn to read and count using paper
cutouts.
Deirdra Kearns - Deirdra's Pay It Forward Scholarship is an award for three motivated seniors from Smithtown High School West and East who have demonstrated major potential and improvement through adversity.
Rivas Rafael - Voices of Venezuela is a book about Venezuelans who left their country to build a future in a place where hard work allows them to gain stability.
At the conclusion of the exhibit, an awards ceremony has been scheduled for 6 - 7 p.m.
