WHAT: 97th Commencement Exercises at Farmingdale State College
WHEN: Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
WHERE: Nold Hall
DETAILS: Almost 1,400 students will process on Saturday – over 1,150 with bachelor’s degrees, 192 with associate’s degrees, and 12 with certificates. Exceptional academic achievement – as reflected by Latin Honors – has been recognized for 479 graduates.
At 10 a.m., students will graduate with degrees from the Schools of Business and Health Sciences; at 3 p.m., students will graduate with degrees from the Schools of Arts & Sciences and Engineering Technology.
Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Foundation and former State Legislator, will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
A live video stream will be held for the two ceremonies. Given Farmingdale’s continued enrollment growth, holding two ceremonies was the only way to accommodate the graduates and their guests in a building on campus. And requests to live video stream the ceremonies come from the families of our increasing diverse student population, including those in other countries.
