Farmingdale State College Student Wins Grant to Publish New Music Magazine

Gina Guerrieri, a senior at Farmingdale State College, has won a $2,000 Farmingdale Student Alumni Grant which she will use to publish a new music magazine called Underground Anthems.

Guerrieri graduates next month with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications.  She is specializing in digital marketing and print design, with her stated goal to “design a better world one project at a time by providing work that is visually stimulating and communicates effectively.”

She describes Underground Anthems as "a collaboration between artists, bands, music enthusiasts, photographers, friends, and a girl who never wants to stop connecting with music." 

Guerrieri studied design at the Young Artist Residency Program at The Art Institute of Boston.  Her industry experience includes internships at the record label Fueled by Ramen and KZSW Advertising, in East Setauket.  Her work can be viewed on her website, gsquareddesigns.com.
