Farmingdale State College Honors Students For Academic Excellence

Students Debra Fiore, Mridul Mohta, and Hope Casey Crucilla have earned the Student Award for Academic Excellence from Farmingdale State College.  The SAAE is given to the top two students in each degree, based on their GPA, exceptional performance in research, internships, student projects and contribution to department clubs and honor societies.

All three students have earned their bachelor degrees: Fiore is graduating in Bioscience, Mohta in Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Crucilla in Horticultural Technology Management.

Fiore is a graduate of Half Hollow Hills East High School; Mohta attended Deepika E.M. School in India, and Crucilla went to Kings Park Senior High School. 

Fiore is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, the Biology Honor Society (Tri Beta), and the Biology Club.  She won a Long Island Italian-American scholarship, and currently works at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. 

Mohta has earned a perfect grade point aver and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering.
