Farmingdale State College Foundation Adds New Board Member

The Farmingdale College Foundation at Farmingdale State College has added a new member to its Board of Directors. 

Joseph Moscola, of Massapequa Park, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the North Shore-LIJ Health System, is the newest board member.  Mr. Moscola is responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of human resources at North Shore-LIJ.  Prior to his current position, he was Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations, a $1.1 billion dollar business that included Ambulatory Services.

Mr. Moscola earned a BS in Biology from St. John’s University, a Masters in Business Administration at Adelphi University and a physician assistant certificate from Catholic Medical Centers.  He has been nominated by North Shore-LIJ for Crain’s New York Business’ 40 under Forty, and Modern Healthcare’s Up & Comers.  He helped North Shore LIJ win the Silver level of distinction from the Regional Baldrige Performance Excellence Committee.  He also is an adjunct professor in health care management at St. Joseph’s College.

The Farmingdale College Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that provides scholarships, faculty development grants, and support of programs and projects that are not state-funded.  Among the projects the Foundation has funded are the STEM Diversity Conference, the DARE to Risk Entrepreneurship program, and the Excellence in Teaching and Professional Service Awards.
