Dr. Suzelle Zamor, director of the Liberty Partnerships Program, recently developed Farmingdale Roots: Voices of Belonging in Motion, welcoming students to participate in a multimedia storytelling initiative.
FSC students are a vital part of the fabric of Farmingdale State College and invited to share their unique perspectives and experiences. They are launching "Farmingdale Roots: Voices of Belonging in Motion," a grant-funded multimedia storytelling initiative dedicated to celebrating the diverse narratives of migration, heritage, and identity within our campus community.
The goal is to create a tapestry of voices that will be woven into a short film, premiered at a campus-wide screening event this spring. This first of it's kind screening will be preserved in a permanent digital archive for educational purposes. Your story can help foster a deeper understanding of belonging and strengthen our campus community. "I would be honored if you would consider participating in a brief video interview." -- Suzelle Zamor.
Student Participation Involves:
- A 15-20 minute filmed conversation at a convenient campus location.
- You will be asked a few simple, reflective questions about our heritage, your sense of belonging at FSC, and your personal or family history.
- Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may choose to skip any question.
This is an opportunity to add your voice to a lasting legacy project that celebrates what makes our FSC community so special!
If you are interested in participating, please the link to the form below. Once we confirm your participation, we will promptly follow up to coordinate a specific date and time for your interview that works with your schedule.
We are thrilled for the opportunity to work with our outstanding student body!
