On behalf of Chancellor King, FSC is proud to announce that the application portal for the SUNY Institute for DEI Professionals is now Open. All applications are due by November 4th, 2025. Each applicant must submit a letter of recommendation and a Campus Statement of Support, signed by division heads. The SUNY Institute for DEI Professionals is a robust, in-depth program which requires significant commitment and time investment. Institute Fellows are required to attend scheduled meetings, sessions, webinars, and complete assigned tasks. Participation in the SUNY Institute for DEI Professionals will also require time away from the Fellow's workplace. To be successful, each participant must be supported by their campus leadership, including their direct supervisor.
The six-month curriculum begins in January and ends in June, including a graduation ceremony, and includes, but is not limited to:
- January 12th, 13th, 14th, & 15th, 2026 – Opening four-day in-person learning sessions.
- February 6th & 27th, 2026 – Two half-day virtual sessions
- March 13th, 2026 – Two half-day virtual sessions
- March 25th – 28th, 2026 – Conference
- April 24th, 2026 – One virtual half-day session
- May 19th, 2026 – One virtual half-day session
- June 10th, 2026 – One full day in-person, including a capstone and graduation ceremony
- Optional webinars that may be scheduled to cover other topics with institute participants
