Jessica Feliz has a love for traveling and exploring her education through an international lens. She also made huge contributions to Farmingdale as she helped other students explore their educational goals.
Jessica was a pivotal part of creating Farmingdale's International Education and Programs office. Jessica's first international educational experience was a Summer program at Florence University in Italy where she had an opportunity to experience different teaching styles while connecting to local culture. After her time in Italy, she returned to campus with a new fire. While it was not long before she started to explore her next study abroad program she worked as a student Study Abroad Adviser to help students take on their own adventures. Jessica assisted Farmingdale students by recommending programs, guiding them through the application and visa process, and acting as the student's advisor on their selected program.
In the meantime, Jessica was planning to explore Barcelona Spain on a semester-long study abroad experience. She spent five months in Spain finishing up her credits to earn a degree in Business Management and a minor in Sociology. Upon return, she accepted a fulltime position working for Farmingdale in the International Education and Programs office as an International Program Coordinator and Study Abroad Advisor. In the years to come, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree and her Master of Arts in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration degree from Stony Brook University.
Currently, Jessica works at Stony Book University as an International Program Coordinator. She also serves as a Board Member on Farmingdale State College Alumni Association. Jessica expressed that she has had an amazing experience at Farmingdale, and that she loves walking through the Teaching Gardens whenever she returns to the campus.
