Thanks to the funding provided by Auxiliary Services Corp and Provost Fund for Cultural Programs & Special events, 34 students and 2 faculty boarded a coach bus on Friday morning 4/8/2022 at 6am to attend the regional ACM NY Celebration of Women in Computing (NYCWiC) ‘22 in Lake George, NY. Students attended a wide variety of conference activities including keynote speaker presentations, workshops, research presentations, career fair, graduate school fair and birds of a feather sessions throughout the two day period. Faaiza Naeem, RAM student, presented her research as a First Timers Talk and as a poster, Samantha Broda presented her research at the poster session and the SWiC leadership presented a poster entitled: Trials and Triumphs of Supporting Women in Computing Club Returning to Campus Post-Covid19.
