P-Tech (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) students are working hard to stay focused and successful in their studies. Finding a balance between work and home life has been a challenge. But as always, P-tech students take it in stride.
With support from FSC and P-tech, the students have become more comfortable with the "new normal." With the use of several online virtual platforms and tools, they have maintained contact and steadily become proficient in this new chapter of their educational journey.
Every effort has been made to maintain a sense of normalcy. A fine example of such efforts is P-Tech math tutor Professor Richard Freda who altered his delivery methods to maximize appeal and effectiveness using virtual tools that allowed students to interact with him and work on problems in real time. Professor Freda notes, "Learning math outside of the classroom is very challenging for many students. Constant communication between both students and faculty is key." His new teaching style employs several methods to ensure student learning and build confidence. Students and faculty continue learning from each other and building on success.
