The NYBPC Long Island Regional Competition

The Long Island Regional is your chance to pitch, get real feedback from expert judges, and compete for a spot at the statewide finals! The NYBPC is New York’s intercollegiate entrepreneurship competition. It showcases student innovation across Long Island, provides valuable mentorship, exposure, and entrepreneurial experience.

Are you ready to share your next big business idea? 

The Long Island Regional is your chance to pitch, get real feedback from expert judges, and compete for a spot at the statewide finals! The NYBPC is New York’s intercollegiate entrepreneurship competition. It showcases student innovation across Long Island, provides valuable mentorship, exposure, and entrepreneurial experience.  

What is the Competition? 

Students from Farmingdale State College, Hofstra, Molloy, NYIT, SUNY Old Westbury, Stony Brook, and Adelphi will compete in a regional pitch event. You’ll present your business idea to a panel of judges and receive constructive feedback to help take your idea further.  

This isn’t just about winning. It’s about learning, growing, and connecting with professionals and fellow students.  

Who Can Compete?

Anyone enrolled can! 

 

How it Works: 

Pitch Time: up to 8 minutes 

Judges’ Q&A: up to 6 minutes

Up to two teams from each track will be eligible to move on to the State Competition to compete with other regions.

  • Wednesday, April 1, 2026 
  • Farmingdale State College–– Campus Center, Ballrooms A, B, & C 

 

NYBPC State Finals:
  • Friday, April 24, 2026
  • Rochester, NY

  • Health & Well being 
  • Food & AgTech 
  • Learn, Work, & Play 
  • Products & Hardware 
  • Software & Services 

Application due date: March 15th, 2026

You must apply on both the Google form and the state's website.

For the state's website you must first create an account, then create a team (even if you are a team of one), then you will be able to fill out the application. The only document due at the time of application is the executive summary; you do not need to upload your slide deck or a video.
