
Innovation Challenge
Selected students will participate in an “Ideation” workshop, work in interdisciplinary teams, and compete for team prizes by providing an innovative solution to our industry partner PSEG LI. No prior experience necessary to apply. All participants receive AL credit and paid stipend up to 10 hours and -

- 1st Place=$1000
- 2nd Place=$500
- 3rd Place=$300
Selected 28 students (7 teams of 4 students) will be able to participate in groups, and plan, compete, and be judged by industry leaders. This one-day training will focus on the “Ideation” process through a fast-paced, hands-on, minds-on workshop. The Ideation provides powerful and practical tools for thinking creatively and critically, solving complex, open-ended challenges and problems, and managing changes that will become a way of life. In particular, the Ideation drives multidisciplinary collaboration for innovative solutions. The Ideation builds on research, development, and practical applications worldwide in many organizational settings.
The winner of the innovation challenge will earn a spot at the Hult Prize National Finals, where they will compete against teams from all over the U.S. for a chance to make it to the Global Finals.

APPLICATION CRITERIA
- All students from Farmingdale State College are welcome
- No prior experience required

- Application deadline: Sunday, October 19th
- Students may form 2-4 member multidisciplinary teams, but each student must submit an individual application listing their team members. Teams may expand to a maximum of four members.
- Students who do not yet have a team can also apply and will be assigned to a team.
