4th Annual Summer Orientation for Women Computing Students

We are excited to announce that the Computer Systems and Computer Security Departments are hosting the 4th  Annual Summer (re)Orientation for Women Computing Students on Thursday August 22, 2024 at 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Campus Center Ballroom. This event is open for all women students (inclusive of cisgender and transgender) in four majors: the Computer Programming and Information Systems (CPIS), Computer Science (CSC), Computer Security Technology (CST), and Security Systems Technology (SST). We hope you will attend and learn how we work to build camaraderie and community among the women students in the computing programs.

This event promises to be informative and fun!  By attending this event you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet fellow women students in your major
  • Meet the officers of the Supporting Women in Computing Club (SWiC)
  • Meet some professors and leadership of the departments & School of Engineering Technology
  • Get a head start and refresher on technical skills for success in the major
  • Learn more about the CPIS/CSC/CST/SST curriculum and advice
  • Enjoy team building activities with your peers.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by August 15, 2024 by submitting the form using the QR code received in your invitation email or invitation letter. 

NOTE: This event is for current Farmingdale State College students at an invite only basis.
