2nd Annual FSC Day of Service & Community Service Awards

On April 18, 2024, the 2nd Annual Day of Service event will take place amongst FSC Community Engagement Week, a week of service-oriented activities. Taking place in the Campus Center Ballroom, the Day of Service event will feature a panelist discussion rooted in service and community impact by trailblazers who have made tremendous impact leading organizations that are centered on social progress and human welfare both locally and globally.

2024 Day of Service Panelists are:

Moderated by FSC President, Dr. John Nader

  • Kathryn Good, Head, United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service
  • Jimmy Jack, CEO, Habitat for Humanity Long Island
  • Ezinne Okoro, Global Chief Client Culture & Strategy, VML
  • Teresa Regnante, CEO, United Way Long Island

The event will also feature our second annual Community Service Awards where we will honor FSC faculty, staff, student recipients and also recognize the winners of the Community Engaged Future Grant.

In addition, a community service projected partnered with AHRC Nassau will provide students with an opportunity to put together food and toiletry kits for Long Island families in need. Toiletry Kits will also be donated to our food pantry. The donation of items will be provided by our community partner AHRC who has been a beacon of light for individuals with disabilities throughout Long Island and New York. Members of AHRC will also be volunteering their time on the assembly line to pack food kits alongside our FSC students and staff.
