FSC Sustainability Challenge

To celebrate Earth Month 2021, the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center (RESC) is teaming up with 511NY Rideshare to allow Farmingdale State College students and staff to demonstrate their climate and sustainability through a friendly virtual challenge from March 15th to April 28th. The goal of the challenge is to see who can reduce the most greenhouse gas emissions by walking, hiking, biking, and more, instead of driving alone.

To participate, students can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Walk, bike, or hike between March 15th and April 28th.

Step 2: Become a 511NY Rideshare member or login to your account at the Farmingdale State College 511NY Rideshare portal.

Step 3: Once you are logged in record your miles on the Activity Log located on your Home page.

On April 28th, we will conclude the virtual challenge with an award ceremony including a keynote presentation on electric bicycles, more information about RESC and 511NY Rideshare, and the presentation of awards, including Farmingdale State College's Clean Air New York Champion certification!
