Business Management Forum: Marketing & Business Analytics

Theresa Locklear

Theresa Locklear is a senior principal consultant in the greater NYC area, reporting to GM Scott Stein,  and has spent the vast majority of her career playing with data. She started as a software developer, making CRM software. Her passion for leveraging data for creative and innovative solutions mingles with her love for problem solving and collaborating to come up with the best possible solutions.

Surabhi Parakh

Surabhi Parakh is an Executive leader with extensive experience in leading Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Data Science, and Strategy initiatives across Digital & Brand Marketing, CRM, E-Commerce, Credit, and Collections.

She specializes in combining data analysis and marketing insights to create market-winning products and optimized solutions that deliver value for clients and businesses.

Her passion for building high performing global analytic teams has helped many firms build teams from the ground up.

Currently, Surbi is the Head of Analytics at a fintech startup Better.com. For the last 15 years, she has had roles with progressive responsibility at Citigroup, Barclay’s bank and PCH.

She is a mother of two girls ( 14 and 11) who constantly remind her of how lacking her social media skills are. Her passion for Analytics extends into personal finance with unsolicited advice to all youngsters who lend an ear.

When she is not in a pandemic, Surabhi enjoys traveling and trying local cuisines.

Mattew Karban

Matthew Karban graduated from Farmingdale State College in 2017 with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and has been working with Advice Media since June of 2018. He began my career in Account Management, helping to foster and grow existing relationships with our clients in the medical community. After a year, he transitioned into a new role specializing in Search Engine Optimization. My job to improve client rankings in search engine results, and ultimately improve traffic & leads for their websites.


When I’m not working, I love reading books of all kinds, and I read a new book almost every week! I’m also a big movie fan, especially horror movies including John Carpenter’s Halloween, Brian De Palma’s film adaptation of Carrie, and Ari Aster’s Hereditary. You can also find me hiking trails in New Paltz- I try to get there as much as possible!"
