As we move into March, many of you are reaching a point in the semester where important
questions begin to surface: Am I in the right major? What comes next after Farmingdale?
How do I make the most of my time here? These are natural and healthy questions that
reflect your growing career awareness and future planning.
This time of year often brings a deeper search for meaning as well. Whether through
your coursework, campus involvement, internships, or relationships, you may find yourself
thinking more intentionally about what motivates you and where you feel most connected.
These reflections are an important part of your development, and Student Affairs is
here to support you as you navigate them.
At the same time, it’s also common to feel some anxiety about grades, expectations,
and the uncertainty of “what’s next.” Please remember that you don’t have to manage
these pressures alone. Our academic advisors, Nexus Center, Campus Mental Health Services,
and student support offices are ready to help you think through decisions, manage
stress, and build confidence in your path forward.
And of course, Spring Break is just around the corner. I encourage you to use that
time to rest, recharge, and reflect whether that means traveling, spending time with
loved ones, or simply slowing down. Taking care of yourself now will help you finish
the semester strong.
Wishing you continued focus, balance, and momentum as we head into the heart of the
spring semester.
Sincerely,
