To Faculty & Staff:
The campus will conclude its phased return to work on Friday, July 2 and expects all
12-month employees (full and part-time) to return to their on-campus work site/location
on Tuesday, July 6.
Please be aware of the following as you return to campus:
- Upon return, unvaccinated employees must be tested weekly. Once proof of vaccination
is submitted, you are exempt from weekly testing. Employee COVID Vaccine Upload Form .
- All employees must complete the attestation for following safety guidelines by Friday,
July 9, 2021 View the full document and required attestation here.
- Department Heads must complete the Return to Campus Form.
- Employees who have not submitted proof of vaccination must complete the daily COVID
screening form each day they come to the campus. COVID Daily Screening Form.
- Pursuant to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, vaccinated
individuals (i.e. students, faculty, and staff) are not required to maintain social
distancing or wear masks, while unvaccinated individuals are responsible for continuing
to wear a mask and practice social distancing in all locations. Unvaccinated/unknown
vaccination status individuals may remove their masks indoors while socially distanced,
seated, and eating/drinking or while working at their workstation. However, in all
instructional spaces (e.g., classrooms, laboratories, library, studios, etc.) the
College will require all individuals to wear masks and, where possible, maintain physical
distancing regardless of vaccine status.
Latitude on extending telecommuting for individuals may be granted on a case by case
basis if there is operational need or an ADA requirement. Childcare or eldercare may
be considered for extending telecommuting on an extremely limited basis. As a reminder,
the Future Stars camp is available on a per diem basis through the summer. Click here for more information on how to request a COVID related telecommuting extension.
The System Administration Office of Employee Relations is developing a SUNY Telecommuting
Policy that will be submitted for approval from the Governor’s Office of Employee
Relations (GOER) by July 31. We will communicate with the campus as more information
becomes available.
We urge students, faculty, and staff to obtain a COVID vaccine. These are free and
widely available.
Please regularly check the COVID HUB for more information. Questions or concerns can be addressed to Human Resources at
