To the Campus Community:
We continue to be vigilant in monitoring potential exposure to, and actual cases of,
COVID-19. Federal healthcare privacy laws prohibit us from discussing specific cases,
accordingly, notification of them will not be sent to the campus community. I want
to assure you that we adhere to the protocols that have previously been communicated
to you, beginning with the initiation of contact tracing when a case of COVID-19 has
been identified.
To view up-to-date data on COVID-19 testing at FSC and other SUNY colleges and universities
visit the SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker External link.
I want to remind you that to the extent practicable, we strongly encourage supervisors
to arrange for their employees to work remotely.
Also, as we approach the holidays, keep in mind that New York State has recently changed
its policies regarding out-of-state travel during the COVID emergency. These policies
now apply to any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state. Travelers from states that are contiguous with New York are exempt from the travel
advisory.
For detailed information, please consult: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory.
Please continue to use a mask, observe social distancing practices, and regularly
wash your hands as you enjoy the Thanksgiving break.
For regular updates on the status of classes, exams, or other student or staff issues
related to the COVID situation, please regularly check your email and our COVID-19 Hub on the FSC website.
