Day of Service
To the Campus Community:
Get ready to make a difference! With service as our focus, let's come together to
empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create solutions for a better world.
On April 20, 2023, the Nexus Center Office of Community and Civic Engagement will host the Inaugural
FSC Day of Service. The day’s events begin at 11 a.m. in the Campus Center ballroom with a lecture by
George Takei, a renowned Asian-American actor and human rights activist, followed
by a campus-wide group photo at 12:15 p.m. in front of the amphitheater for faculty,
staff, and students. A Day of Service
t-shirt will be given to all attendees to wear for the photo.
On April 20, we will also celebrate the end of a three-week-long Toiletry Drive to benefit five local philanthropic organizations and our very own FSC Food Pantry. The first 200 guests who generously bring a toiletry item to the Day of Service
lecture will receive a complimentary George Takei book.
Be a part of something special and join us for FSC'S Inaugural Day of Service.
