Learning Management System

Dear Students,
As you make your final preparations for the start of the Fall 2022 semester, I wanted
to share with you some important information to help you gain access to your classes
through our Learning Management System (LMS).
During this semester, the college will be transitioning from the Blackboard to Brightspace. Therefore, depending on the course you are taking you may find that you will be using
both platforms. All online courses will be utilizing the new Brightspace platform and most, but not
all, of our face-to-face courses will be continuing with Blackboard until the end
of the fall term.
You will be able to access both platforms through your myFSC home page. The left navigation bar will have a tab for Blackboard Learn and Brightspace.
- Please Note: If you are not sure which platform your course is using, you should log in to Blackboard
first. When opening your Blackboard course, if you see a notification providing you
with directions on how to gain access to Brightspace – that indicates you will be
using Brightspace for that course.
The FSC Distance Learning team is here to support you through the system transition. All questions or concerns should be forwarded to the Farmingdale State College Distance
Learning helpdesk at DL@farmingdale.edu. In addition, please visit the Distance Learning webpage for resources and training modules to help familiarize you with both platforms.
