The purpose of the “Farmingdale Cricket Club” is to bring fellow students who enjoy the sport of cricket together to learn, discuss and play the sport as a whole.
This club is open for everyone. It is important since it allows the many fans of this sport to form a community that has interest in it. The Farmingdale Dance team wants to help promote the art of dance at Farmingdale as well as provide a fun, creative, and safe environment for all of our members to learn and grow as dancers. Our purpose is to inspire and entertain audiences with our performances and to foster a sense of teamwork and camaraderie among our members, as well as represent our school with pride and excellence. The Esports Club, which competes regionally and nationally in popular games such as League of Legends, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, and many more, boasts 100+ members who compete on 12 teams in 7 sports within 2 athletic conferences. Farmingdale State College is also home to one of the most dynamic esports facilities in the region. With 12 high-performance PCs and 6 gaming consoles, the Esports Arena is an exciting addition to campus that showcases Farmingdale as a premier destination for college students on Long Island and in the region. The Esports Arena, located in the lower level of Quintyne Hall, is open Monday-Friday and open to all students!
The Ice Hockey Club is a high-caliber and competitive club organization. The team plays in the Collegiate Hockey Federation and is consistently in a bid for a national title. The hockey team also has six Empire Conference titles, with the most recent being in the 2018-2019 season with a win over Fairfield University. Along with these credentials, they have had a number of All-American players and players who represented the nation in a collegiate hockey level. Ram Motorsports is a collegiate design club open to all students. It is organized by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) which challenges all participating students to design and build vehicles to present to a design board composed of automotive engineers and compete in racing events against other schools. The competition teaches students about the design process, time management, teamwork, communication skills, budgeting and manufacturing skills as well.
