Adjunct Promotion Procedures 2026-2027
To Part-Time Faculty:
The Adjunct Promotion procedures for the 2026-2027 cycle have been updated and are
now available on ARIES. Adjunct faculty members are eligible to apply for promotion
in adjunct faculty ranks based on their satisfaction of the College’s criteria for
promotion and upon the recommendation of their department chair, dean, and the provost,
depending on the availability of budgetary support for such promotions.

Faculty must submit the Adjunct Faculty Application Form, which is available on the
relevant pages linked above.
Deadlines for the 2026-2027 Adjunct Promotion Application Process:
- October 30, 2026: Adjunct promotion portfolios are to be submitted electronically to department chairs.
- November 13, 2026: Recommendations for promotion (in ranking order) are to be forwarded by the department
chair to their school dean, accompanied by the adjunct promotion portfolios and their
letters of recommendation.
- November 30, 2026: The deans will review all recommendations based on the criteria listed above and
will forward a recommendation to the provost regarding candidates to be promoted.
- On or by January 25, 2027: Candidates will be notified of decisions regarding adjunct promotions by the start
of the spring semester.
