The Office of Professional and Continuing Education
Dear Colleagues:
As the landscape of higher education continues to evolve, so too must the ways in
which we create meaningful pathways for personal advancement, professional development,
and lifelong learning. For that reason, I am pleased to announce the establishment
of the Office of Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), marking an important
milestone in the continued growth of our institution. It reflects our commitment to
serving learners, employers, and communities through innovative, accessible, and workforce-responsive
programming.
Led by Dylan Gafarian, EdD, acting dean of extended and experiential learning, PaCE
will serve as a central hub for non-credit certificates, workforce training, employer
partnerships, personal enrichment offerings, and lifelong learning opportunities.
This new structure builds on the strong work already taking place across the College
while creating a more visible, coordinated, and strategic presence for continuing
education at Farmingdale.
The goal is simple: to make it easier for students, professionals, and employers to
access high-quality, career-focused learning that leads to real outcomes. Courses
are underway, with additional offerings becoming available in the coming weeks. We
invite you to visit the PaCE webpage to learn more and select “Search All Programs” to view the classes that are currently
open for enrollment. Connect with the office on Instagram at fsc_continuinged, and on LinkedIn.
Help spread the word about this exciting new initiative, and its role in expanding
access to new and evolving student audiences.
