Showcasing Your Research — New FSC Research Page and Call for Stories
Dear Colleagues:
I'm excited to share that Farmingdale State College has launched a new research webpage, and I encourage you to take a look.
This page is an important acknowledgment of something I see every day — the remarkable
research and scholarly work happening across our campus. From Dr. Sutherland's DNA
repair lab to the Women in Computing initiative led by Dr. Villani and Dr. Aydin,
from Dr. Fraina's work with students examining issues in intercollegiate athletics
to Professors Anderson and Kwak partnering architecture students with the Girl Scouts
of Nassau County — this is the kind of work that defines who we are as an institution.
But the reality is that there's much more happening that we haven't yet captured,
and this is where you come in: We are actively looking for research stories from faculty across all four schools. Whether your work involves externally funded projects, student-faculty collaborations,
community-based research, creative scholarship, or independent inquiry, we want to
hear about it. These stories will be featured on the research webpage and in an upcoming
college research publication.
I invite you to submit a brief description of your work to communications@farmingdale.edu, using "research submission" in the subject field. Please include what you're investigating,
who is involved, and why it matters. We'll then collaborate with you to create a story
to feature on the research webpage.
This is your opportunity to gain the visibility your work deserves and help share
the broader story of the research taking place at Farmingdale State College. I hope
you'll take a few moments to share what you're working on.
Go Rams!
