Update: Fall 2025 Student Feedback Opportunities
To All Faculty:
As we approach the final weeks of the fall 2025 semester, we are reminded of Farmingdale
State College’s core identity as a student-first institution. Part of maintaining
that commitment involves listening to the voices of those we teach.
In a previous email, we mentioned expectations for having student survey feedback
for review processes, such as reappointment, continuing appointment, and promotion.
Although these surveys are not mandatory for the review process, it is good professional
practice to seek and use feedback to improve. Student feedback provides invaluable
data that helps us refine our courses, identify strengths, and target areas for development.
Collecting and analyzing student perspectives is a powerful tool for pedagogical growth
and instructional improvement. By actively seeking and learning from student feedback,
we model the very habits of lifelong learning and critical self-reflection that we
hope to instill in our graduates.
Improving instruction through student feedback aligns directly with our campus goal
of improving student success. This same objective drives our new Clear the Path team. Gathering insights into the student experience at Farmingdale provides the
foundation for making institutional changes that support our students’ academic and
personal growth.
Student Feedback Surveys are now available for distribution in Axiom Mentor and will
remain open until December 12, 2025.
Logistics & Support:
- Platform: You can access the surveys via Axiom Mentor in your MyFSC portal.
- Instructions: See "How to Start your Student Feedback Survey" on the Axiom homepage.
