Introducing the Clear the Path Team – We Need Your Help
Dear Faculty and Staff:
I hope you have been having a great semester. I am writing to announce the formation
of a "Clear the Path" team—and more importantly, to enlist your help.
The goal of the Clear the Path team is to identify obstacles that affect the FSC student
experience, that slow students’ progress toward graduation, or interfere with their
ability to get the support they need. The team consists of people with operational
leadership in units that work directly with students. I have empowered this team with
the ability to quickly make changes to procedures within their unit’s capabilities.
When the issues involve College policy, we will follow the normal governance process
to make the needed changes.
The Clear the Path team includes:
- Alex Caviedes, AAIC
- Marilyn Flores, Registrar’s Office
- Bryan Garcia, EMERGE
- Michael Nembhard, Student Affairs
- Jeanne Soto, Enrollment Management
- Karen Gelles, Academic Affairs (chair)
To help this team succeed, we need your assistance. You all interact with our students,
and through these interactions, you’ve likely seen or heard about obstacles that create
unnecessary challenges to their progress. Because the team wants to hear from you
about these challenges, we have set up this brief Qualtrics survey to more easily share your concerns.
The team will review the submissions, prioritize the issues, and start working toward
solutions.
Thank you for your help. I appreciate all that you do for our students.
Go Rams!
