Basic Needs Support for Students
To FSC Students:
Food Insecurity can affect anyone at any time and can be a barrier to student success.
Students who are food insecure have limited or uncertain access to adequate, nutritious
food due to a lack of resources or access. The Office of Student Affairs Basic Needs Team is pleased to offer two new options to support students who are food insecure.
Beginning March 23, 2026, in addition to the FSC Food Pantry, students will be able to apply for one or both of the following support services:
- A week’s worth (5 meals) of meals at POP's Dining Hall in the Campus Center
- A $50 Voucher for groceries to supplement what our campus Food Pantry cannot provide
Students can submit one application per month to the Basic Needs Team. For program
guidelines and to apply, see the Basic Needs Intake Form in RamCentral. I encourage students who are coping with food insecurity to take advantage of this
opportunity. All services are confidential. If you have any questions, please contact
Amanda Cataldo at basicneeds@farmingdale.edu.
