A Message of Support
To Our International Students:
As we wrap up the academic year, we understand that for some of you, this can be a
particularly uncertain time. Please know that SUNY is actively monitoring federal
actions that may potentially impact visa statuses, SEVIS records, or other aspects
of international student life. As you plan for any international travel during the
summer, here are a few important tips:
- Review your travel plans carefully and stay informed about potential risks or delays.
- Always carry your original immigration documents with you.
- Be prepared for heightened screening measures upon arrival back into the United States.
Our Office of International Education & Programs is here to assist you. Advisors are available for one-on-one support to help you
navigate questions about travel, visas, and documentation.
Farmingdale welcomes all students, and we want you to know that you belong here. If
you feel there are personal or academic barriers preventing you from achieving your
goals, please don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance to the Office of the Dean of Students at dean.students@farmingdale.edu.
Wishing everyone a successful end to the semester and a safe, restful summer.
Ronald Jackson, EdD
Vice President for Student Affairs
