To Faculty and Staff:
As outlined in FSC’s Internal Control Program, effective internal control systems are crucial to the College’s success in achieving
its mission and goals. Fortunately, our robust internal controls coupled with the
commitment of our employees have proven instrumental in successfully achieving our
goals and adeptly navigating the challenges inherent in higher education today.
This letter serves to reaffirm our commitment to establishing and maintaining a strong
internal control framework that embraces:
Ethical Conduct: We commit to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in all aspects of
our operations, including our decision-making processes, interactions with stakeholders,
and the responsible stewardship of resources.
Compliance: We understand the importance of compliance with laws, regulations, and institutional
policies. Our leadership team is dedicated to staying informed about changes in the
regulatory landscape and ensuring that our policies and procedures align with the
latest requirements.
Risk Management: We employ a proactive approach to risk management. By identifying and assessing potential
risks, we can develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the continued
success and resilience of our institution.
All members of the college community are asked to embrace these principles and to continue to sustain an environment committed to effective internal control
systems.
While the campus has demonstrated that it has an effective system of internal controls
in place, we want to take this opportunity to remind you that should you suspect fraud,
waste, abuse, or irregular activity within the campus community, you can call the
Fraud Hotline at 934-420-2083 or visit the Fraud web page to anonymously report concerns.
If you have any questions regarding Internal Control, please contact the Internal
Control Officer at 934-420-5688.
