To Full-time Faculty and Staff:
I am pleased to announce that the teaching extra service rate for full-time faculty
and staff will be increasing to $4,000 per three credit course effective summer 2023. This
rate will apply to all full-time employees who teach on an extra service basis, regardless
of rank or title. The rate represents a significant increase for those who have been
receiving extra service for assuming additional teaching duties. The extra service
rate will be adjusted accordingly for independent study, low enrolled courses and the number of credit hours per course
(i.e. 4 credit course = $5,333).
The increase does not apply to extra service rates for LIEOC courses as its programs
are not supported by campus funds.
