Welcome Back!
Dear FSC Students:
Welcome to our newest Rams, and welcome back to our returning students! I hope your
summer was restful, fun, and invigorating, and that you are as excited as I am to
begin the fall 2026 semester.
This academic year again brings important change and growth for Farmingdale State
College. We are introducing new degree programs and microcredentials, alongside campus
facilities that will soon reopen that are designed to enhance your experience. Beyond
physical spaces, we are expanding your academic horizons with three exciting initiatives:
- Ram-Bo & Co. Campus Store and online textbook ordering: Doors to our all-new campus store opened on August 3,
with additional FSC merchandise and necessities to be added throughout the year. Textbook
ordering has transitioned to fully online via farmingdale.ecampus.com, and students can enjoy free two-day shipping when selecting in-store pick up.
- Farmingdale Student Research Journal: A peer-reviewed platform created by students, for students, to provide an opportunity
to publish and celebrate your undergraduate research contributions.
- Inspiring Leadership President’s Lecture Series: A seminar series featuring three esteemed Farmingdale scholars and two prominent
guest speakers, offering you a front-row seat to cutting-edge research across diverse
disciplines. Announcements of these events will soon be available, and I hope to see
you there.
To ensure you have the guidance needed to thrive, we have also strengthened our leadership
team with three deeply dedicated student advocates:
- Bryan Garcia, executive director for student success and advisement
- Michael Nembhard, executive director of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence (DEIE)
- Frank Rampello, dean of students
Our entire faculty and staff remain fully committed to your path forward. I encourage
you to immerse yourself in all that FSC offers—whether that means conducting hands-on
research, writing an article for publication, joining a student club or sports team,
securing an internship, or studying abroad.
If you see me around campus, please stop to introduce yourself and let me know how
