Commencement 2026
Dear Colleagues:
This year’s Farmingdale State College Commencement Ceremony, held on Friday, May 22,
2026, at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, was an extraordinary success. Beginning
at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 12:45 p.m., the ceremony reflected exceptional coordination,
organization, professionalism, and dedication from countless members of our campus
community.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and recognition to everyone whose time,
effort, and attention to detail helped make this event so memorable. With more than
1,600 graduating students, over 10,000 family members and friends filling the Coliseum,
and more than 80 administrators, faculty, and staff members participating and volunteering
in the arena, the scale of this year’s commencement was truly remarkable.
Special thanks are extended to the core Commencement Planning Committee, Daniel Walsh,
Debbie Hecht, Frank Rampello, Kim Parris, Michael Nembhard, and Nicole Miller, led
by Vice President Ron Jackson, in addition to Kim Parris and Alicia Femoyer of Events
Management, along with the many volunteers working behind the scenes to ensure every
aspect of the ceremony ran seamlessly. From the careful coordination of student processional
logistics to the celebratory burst of confetti marking the moment our graduates officially
became alumni, every detail reflected pride, commitment, and teamwork.
On behalf of the entire campus community and especially our graduating students, thank
you for your outstanding contributions to creating such a meaningful and unforgettable
celebration for our graduates and their families.
