Hurricane Melissa
To the Campus Community:
Our thoughts are with our students, faculty, and staff from Jamaica and surrounding
areas, and all who have family members or friends affected by Hurricane Melissa. We
recognize how difficult it can be to focus on daily life when our communities back
home are facing uncertainty and hardship.
All of us at Farmingdale State College are hoping for the best outcomes for everyone
impacted by the storm. Please know that we care deeply about your well-being and stand
ready to offer support. If you need assistance or simply wish to talk with someone,
we encourage you to reach out to the Dean of Students Office (Dean.Students@farmingdale.edu or 934-420-2104). We are here to listen, connect you
with resources, and help you navigate any challenges that may arise during this time.
On behalf of the entire Farmingdale community, we extend our heartfelt concern and
solidarity, and hope for the safety and security of all those weathering the storm.
