Provost Newsletter
December 19, 2022
Dear Colleagues,
As this year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding
scholarly accomplishments of our faculty colleagues. Their collective pursuit of knowledge
through grants, creative expression, publication, and presentation has advanced their
respective disciplines and has increased the reputation of the institution.
The 2021-2022 accomplishments of our remarkable and committed faculty who call Farmingdale
their academic home include 147 peer-reviewed publications, 129 peer-reviewed presentations,
and 22 grants. These achievements are points of pride for the institution, especially
for the Division of Academic Affairs.
I hope you will enjoy learning more about the meaningful work of our faculty members,
as highlighted in the first bi-annual Provost’s Newsletter. As you scroll through the newsletter, you will find that each entry is hyperlinked
to the publication or scholarly site of record. Although not every publication or
presentation is listed, a representative sample from each of the four schools is offered
to provide a comprehensive overview. Please click here to read the inaugural issue of the Provost's Newsletter.
We are fortunate to be part of a vibrant academic community. I thank all of you for
your commitment to advancing the institution through your efforts in teaching, scholarship,
and service.
My very best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a wonderful new year!
Laura Joseph, EdD
Senior Vice President and Provost
