2nd Annual Lavender Graduation & Pride Prom
To the Campus Community:
FSC will hold its 2nd Annual Lavender Graduation and Pride Prom on Tuesday, April 30, to honor LGBTQIA+ seniors, their accomplishments, and contributions to the College.
More than 200 colleges and universities across the country hold Lavender Graduations,
and the color lavender is significant in LGBTQIA+ history. It is a combination of
the pink triangle that gay men were forced to wear, and the black triangle lesbians
were forced to wear in concentration camps in Nazi Germany.
Lavender Graduation will begin at 4 p.m., followed by Pride Prom at 6 p.m., in the
Campus Center Ballroom. If you are a graduating senior that identifies as LGBTQIA+ and would like to participate,
RSVP by Wednesday, April 24.
