2023 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award
To the Campus Community:
I’m proud to share that Farmingdale State College has received the 2023 Higher Education
Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award for the second consecutive year, from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.
INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine selected FSC for our comprehensive recruitment and retention efforts, curriculum
development, collaborative governance, and administrative planning and leadership,
along with diverse campus activities and programs that consistently foster and celebrate
diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are among only 108 U.S. colleges and universities
to be honored this year, that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and
inclusion. FSC will be featured in the November/December 2023 issue of the magazine,
with other HEED award recipients.
It is an incredible honor to be recognized for our efforts to establish and celebrate
FSC's vibrant and inclusive culture, and one that we can all take pride in. I thank
you for your contributions to our campus community that reflect the rich diversity
of our global society, while fostering educational, cultural, and economic opportunity.
