Management would like to invite you to join a virtual event on May 17, 2022 at 5:00
p.m. celebrating the 50 year anniversary of Title IX. We have assembled two outstanding
panels who will each in their own ways, analyze what Title IX has meant for society,
where we stand today, and what we can do to both sustain achievements and further
advance the causes consistent with the legislation.
Panel 1: Sport Industry Leaders’ Views on the Impact, and Future, of Title IX
The 1972 landmark legislation has changed the landscape of sports and society for
the benefit of millions of individuals, especially girls and women. We bring together
a stellar panel of sports and equity leaders who will share their expert perspective
on how things have changed over the years, where we are today, and how we can continue
to improve so that we fulfill the goals first set out 50 years ago.
Panel 2: An Inside Look at Title IX with State University of New York (SUNY) Leaders
Join us for what is sure to be a compelling discussion about the landmark legislation,
Title IX, which this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Our esteemed panelists
from the State University of New York (SUNY) community include: a college president,
director of athletics, senior associate athletic director for compliance, coaches,
and athletes. Hear from these experts about their experiences and perspectives on
the past, present and future of legislation that has changed sports, and the world
