To Faculty and Staff:

Yesterday, you may have received and seen an email titled “Welcome to Your Phishing Training”. This email was sent in error by our Information Security training vendor and has been retracted by our email system. IT has opened a support ticket to fully investigate this error.

As you may be aware, the Information Technology Department does send various simulated phishing emails as part of the College’s Information Security Awareness Training program. This is required by NYS and SUNY policies, and is a very important part in enabling you to better identify phishing emails.

Remember to STOP, LOOK, and THINK before you click! If you are unsure, login to the system directly with the link you already know or browse to it from the Farmingdale home page. Report any suspicious email to the IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@farmingdale.edu or 934-420-2754.
