Annual Statement: Child Protection Program at FSC
To Faculty and Staff:
At Farmingdale State College, safeguarding the well-being of children involved in
our programs, events, and activities remains a top priority. We are committed to maintaining
a safe and supportive environment for all minors who participate in College-affiliated
programs.
As a reminder, all departments must comply with SUNY and campus policies when planning
and conducting activities that involve children. According to SUNY Policy 6505, a “child” is defined as anyone under the age of 17 who is not a matriculated student.
Faculty and staff who wish to organize a program, event, or research activity involving
minors must review The Child Protection Policy and submit a Request to Conduct Programs or Activities Involving Children Form at least 30 days prior to the planned activity.
If you have any questions about child protection procedures or specific programs involving
minors, please contact Paula Renda, internal control officer and compliance coordinator.
Thank you for your continued commitment to ensuring the safety and care of children
within the FSC community.
