Electrical Update

To the Campus:

Thank you for your patience during this morning’s power outage.

Thanks to the quick response our campus Facilities Operations crew, PSEG, and our high-voltage contractors, we were able to quickly restore power to the campus. Upon further investigation, we learned that the outage was a result of our on-campus testing which produced an unexpected surge, and was not caused by PSEG’s off-campus equipment.

As a reminder, we continue to work through the testing of our high-voltage infrastructure and may experience occasional localized outages over the next few weeks. Whenever possible, these outages will be scheduled to avoid disruptions to campus operations.
