MindArch Health Student Survey
To FSC Faculty:
Mental health continues to be an important factor in student success at Farmingdale
State College. We are fully aware of the pressures experienced by many of our students,
especially those who are attending college for the first time or returning to college
after taking a break. With this in mind, we are initiating an effort towards creating
environments that support positive psychological health and well-being.
FSC has partnered with MindArch Health, who has developed innovative software to assess the five elements of positive psychological health (secure, regulated, valuable, decided,
related) and a process to use this data strategically to strengthen mental well-being campus
wide. Refer to this overview for more information. Beginning Tuesday, October 6, students will be able to complete an anonymous survey that will assess these five elements of positive health and provide participants
with a confidential report that identifies protective factors and vulnerabilities to their well-being
with ways to address these areas. This response will also provide us with a report
on the psychological health of our campus community using anonymous aggregated data.
Your participation is crucial to the success of this initiative. By encouraging your students to participate, you are directly contributing to their
understanding of their own mental well-being and providing them with a personalized
action plan for improvement. This empowers students with insights into their strengths
and areas for growth. The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete. For your convenience,
you can share the survey with your students using the below QR code or this link.
Please let me know if you need any additional information or have any questions. Thank
you in advance for your assistance with this important initiative to strengthen the
health and well-being of our campus community.
