Fall 2026 Academic Support and Tutoring Services
Sent on behalf of the Center for Academic Success and Tutoring
Dear Faculty:
It seems like only yesterday that we congratulated the Class of 2026, and we are now
welcoming the incoming students. While the days are getting shorter, there is no shortage
of excitement for the new academic year at the Center for Academic Success and Tutoring
(CAST) and Writing Center. I am pleased to share some updates and reminders.
This summer, we worked diligently to better align both centers, and we are pleased
to share that all math and physics tutoring have been centralized and will now take
place at CAST. We look forward to serving all students and faculty with expanded hours
and subjects.
Available services include:
- Tutoring in over 100 courses
- Writing support for all classes
- Online and remote appointments
- Activity-hour review sessions
- 24/7 tutoring with NetTutor
- 24/7 drop-off writing service
- Academic coaching
- Public speaking
- Support for English language learners (ELL/ESL)
- Bilingual sessions in select subjects and languages
- Class visits and workshops
For more information, visit the CAST webpage. Please feel free to stop by the third floor of Greenley Library to visit the space
and discuss ways we can best support you and your students. We have coffee, and my
door is always open.
From all of us at CAST, I want to express gratitude for your continued support of
our centers, whether it is referring students or recommending student tutors. We could
not do it without you.
