Meet the New Student Success and Advising Center
Hello Rams,
Students with questions about choosing classes, registering, or staying on track can
now get assistance through Farmingdale’s new Student Success and Advising Center. The center brings academic advising, the First-Year and Transfer-Year Experience,
and student success support together in one place, making it easier to get the help
you need.
Where to go for advising:
- 0-59 earned credits: Students now have a dedicated advisor in the Student Success and Advising Center
for support until they earn 60 credits. You will hear directly from your dedicated
advisor soon!
- 60+ earned credits: You will receive advising from the department that oversees your major.
- Exceptions: All Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory Science, and Professional Pilot students are
advised by their academic departments. Nursing students are advised by the Student
Success and Advising Center until they earn 30 credits.
Services available from the center:
- Choose classes and register.
- Understand degree requirements.
- Make a plan to stay on track.
- Connect with campus resources.
