Honors Program Lecture Series
Sent on behalf of the Honors Program
To the Campus Community:
The FSC Honors Program is pleased to announce the formation of the Honors Program
Lecture Series. This lecture series seeks to connect FSC students, faculty, and staff
with speakers drawn from the Long Island and NYC metropolitan region. Through offering
campus members opportunities to engage with representatives from the region’s intellectual,
cultural, and professional institutions, we hope to help students meet experts at
their doorstep, and also offer an opportunity to learn more about how their studies
intertwine with where they live.
We have two speakers scheduled for the Spring 2026 semester:
- Dr. Matthew Salzano, IDEA Fellow in Ethical AI, Information Systems, and Data Science and Literacy, Stony
Brook University
Monday 3/9/2026, Campus Center Ballroom A, 11:00 a.m.
- Dr. Eric Sanderson, Vice President for Urban Conservation, Center for Conservation & Restoration Ecology,
New York Botanical Gardens
Monday 4/27/2026, Campus Center Ballroom B/C, 11:00 a.m.
The Honors Program Lecture Series is open to all members of the campus community.
