Course Schedule Change Proposals

Dear Farmingdale State College Students:
Your voice matters. The Student Government Association is seeking your feedback on
two proposals that could impact the academic schedule and overall student experience
at Farmingdale State College.
First, we are exploring the possibility of expanding the passing period between classes
from 10 minutes to 15 minutes to better support students in navigating campus during
peak times.
Second, we are considering a proposal to shift Activity Hour from its current time
on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10:50 a.m. – 12:05 p.m.) to a later block (12:15 p.m. –
1:30 p.m.) to improve opportunities for participation in extracurricular and co-curricular
activities.
Your input is essential in helping us understand how these potential changes may affect
your daily schedule, campus involvement, and academic success. The feedback you share
will guide the recommendations we present to College administration. Please submit your responses using this survey before Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12 p.m. The survey will take less than five
minutes to complete.
