Campus Update: Monitoring Potential Snowstorm
To the Campus Community:
The College is closely monitoring weather forecasts related to a potential snowstorm
expected to impact Long Island this weekend and into early next week. Current forecasts
from the National Weather Service indicate the possibility of significant snowfall,
which may impact campus operations.
This storm coincides with the return of residential students to campus. Campus Residence
Life staff is prepared to accommodate early move-in, and students are strongly encouraged
to plan their move-in for Saturday, January 24, ahead of the storm.
Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate from Sunday into Monday, which may
result in travel delays and limited on-campus services.
The College will continue to monitor conditions and expects to provide an update to
the campus community on Sunday afternoon. We encourage everyone to stay safe and mindful
as they make travel plans.
All members of the FSC community are encouraged to sign up for RAVE Alerts, the College’s primary method for communicating time-sensitive information, including
weather-related updates. To sign up for emergency alerts, go to www.getrave.com, select Farmingdale State College, and log in using your Farmingdale user ID and
password.
Please continue to monitor official College communications for any updates.
